What did you do last night?
Went to Opening Day at the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club and then to dinner at my sister’s with my family.
What do you usually eat for breakfast?
I try to eat something healthy, but I usually don’t eat much.
How many hours a night do you sleep?
6 – 8 hours
What is your favorite hour of the day/night and why is it your favorite?
Evenings after 8 p.m. when my son has gone to bed and I can have some time with the hubby and some alone time.
Where do you live now?
Why did you move there?
I moved to go to college at San Diego State University (SDSU).
Do you like living there? Explain.
Yes! I love San Diego and I hope to never leave. The weather is great and there is so much to do. I moved here when I was 19 and I stayed after graduating from college and started my career. My only complaints are that it is getting very crowded and the traffic is getting really bad. Oh, and housing prices are insane!
What did you do in the years right after high school?
Went to CSUB my freshman year and then transferred to SDSU and graduated with a degree in Journalism/Public Relations in 1991.
Tell us about your family? Kids? Spouses? Lovers? Partners? Divorces?
I’ve been with my husband for over 10 years, married six. We have one son who is 20 months old.
Do you have a job outside of your home?
My main job is being a stay-at-home mom. I also do some freelance marketing and PR for a friend’s business.
Do you like your job?
Yes, I love being able to be with my son everyday and not have the stress of having to go to work and juggle everything. I have the utmost respect for working moms, especially single mothers. My freelance job allows me to continue using my brain in different ways.
Is it the job you thought you would have when you were back in High School and you contemplated the future?
I think I wanted to be a lawyer in high school. However, even in high school I always knew I wanted to be a mom.
If you could have any job in the world what would it be?
I’m doing it, but the cherry on top would be to get my writing published on a regular basis.
What was your happiest day last year?
I have a great life, so I can’t think of one particular day. I try and appreciate moments in life that I know will be a great memory one day.
What is your biggest regret from the last 20 years?
I think the “right” answer is to say “I have no regrets because it has made me who I am today”, but I wish I would have been a better student in high school and college.
Do you miss high school? What things do you miss about it?
I don’t miss high school, but I really enjoyed it while I was there.
What is one of your favorite memories from high school?
Again, I enjoyed it, so I have a lot of great memories. I remember the football games and pep rallies fondly.
What is one of your worst memories from high school?
I really don’t have one.
Who were your best friends in high school?
Many of my close friends were cheerleaders on my squad…Kandy Huckaby, Christine Kohn, Vicki Hanes, Suzanne Reyes.
Have you kept in touch with them?
I just had dinner with Vicki Hanes in San Diego while she was in town for a conference. It was great to see her since I hadn’t seen her since my 1999 wedding. I have kept in touch via Christmas cards with Christine and Suzanne through the years.
How is your life different than the life you thought you would have after high school?
I always wanted to have a career and then get married and have a family. So I think my life is pretty much what I thought it would be.
Who was your favorite teacher?
I really can’t say. I had some good teachers, but none stand out.
What was the biggest life lesson you learned in high school?
Self-confidence is vital. Oh, and wear less eye make-up (see my senior portrait!)
Who was your favorite pop music band in high school?
No favorites, just basic 80s artist/bands…Pat Benatar, Bill Idol, Duran Duran, etc.
Why do you want to attend a high school reunion?
I’m curious by nature, I would love to see how everyone is doing.
Why do you NOT want to attend a high school reunion?
I don’t want to feel like an awkward teenager again!
Are you nervous about attending your high school reunion? Explain.
I guess a little. I think it is only natural to remember people by the way they were the last time you saw them. I’m sure everyone has changed a lot, I know I have. Thank goodness for hair dye!

Yes, thank God. They are older, but doing OK.

Pretty much. Going to the gym once and a while wouldn’t hurt.
If you won the lottery what would you do with the money?
Invest wisely and live off the interest. Share with my family and friends and take awesome trips.

I believe in God and consider myself a spiritual person.
What do you watch on TV?
I love Lost. I never miss it. I also like Grey’s Anatomy and American Idol.
What are your all-time favorite movies?
Gone With the Wind, Pride & Prejudice (A&E mini-series), As Good as It Gets, Good Will Hunting to name a few.
In what ways have you changed the most from high school?
I think I am more patient and mature.
In what ways are you the same from high school?
I’m still silly and enjoy life a lot!

Yes, but I try not to do it often. It is one of my pet peeves.
