Tell us something that very few people know about you.
I was in the Army for 5 weeks in 1992. I had auditioned for and made into the Army Band program, but I quickly discovered that military service is not for everyone, and I’m one of those people it’s not for. I have the utmost respect and gratitude for the military, but it wasn’t right for me. Luckily, they were reducing the size of the military in those days, and if you didn’t want to be there, they didn’t want you. It was an amiable split. I discovered I needed eyeglasses while I was there though, and through a fortunate turn of events wound up working at the place where I purchased my first “civilian” glasses when I got home. I worked in the eyecare industry for nearly 7 years before I got into computers.
