What did you do last night?
I went to the Bakersfield Condors game with my family and friends (the Condors lost to the Aces).
What do you usually eat for breakfast?
Usually nothing. I love to skip “breakfast” goodies and just move right on to good old lunch menu items.
How many hours a night do you sleep?
Usually 6 hours on weekdays and about 8 on weekends.
What is your favorite hour of the day/night and why is it your favorite?
Weekdays I love bed time. Weekends I love afternoon so I can listen to sports games on the TV (what ever the family has on for the moment) and take a relaxing nap.
Where do you live now?
Bakersfield! My husband and I bought a house a little over 14 years ago in the northwest area.
Why did you move there?
I could no longer stand the east side of town, and wanted to be in an area that was not so populated. But that did not last long! We are now very developed in our area of town.
Do you like living there? Explain.
I would like to move again, but my husband is in a comfort zone here.
What did you do in the years right after high school?
I basically worked and dated just after High School. I spent some time going out to night clubs and partying all hours of the night, but somehow I managed to stay alive and out of trouble.
Tell us about your family? Kids? Spouses? Lovers? Partners? Divorces?
I have a wonderful family! My husband’s name is Dave. He is what I needed in my life! We were married June 5th 1993 at Edgewood Golf Course in beautiful Lake Tahoe. We had a 10 month old son (Sean) at the time, and were again 3 ½ months pregnant with our second son (Cory). I also have two step-sons who are now 20 years old. Yes, twins!
Do you have a job outside of your home?
Yes I work for a local drug store (Longs Drugs) doing bookkeeping.
Do you like your job?
I do like my job at times! I have a great boss that makes daily work tolerable. My job has its up’s and down’s just like any other job. But I think I am blessed with the boss that I have because I definitely have had different experiences with other bosses.
Is it the job you thought you would have when you were back in High School and you contemplated the future?
No! I always wanted to do something in law.
If you could have any job in the world what would it be?
Criminal investigation! Without a doubt! I have been offered to work as a private investigator under another license, and am actively looking into this line of work, but would like to get my own P.I. license one day.
What was your happiest day last year?
The day I went on a seven day Mexican Rivera cruise with my husband and my children. This was my children’s very first cruise.
What is your biggest regret from the last 20 years?
I have no regrets, only lessons I have learned.
Do you miss high school? What things do you miss about it?
I do not miss high school. I do miss the people and the friends you gain.
What is one of your favorite memories from high school?
My favorite memories of high school were enjoying my friends, the football games, and all the trips we went on in choir. I also enjoy the memories of the parties.
What is one of your worst memories from high school?
The day I received an “F” in Spanish. Lord help me now! I am hoping to learn from my son who received a “B” this Quarter.
Who were your best friends in high school?
My very best friend was and still is Debbie Long (now Debra Daniel.) I also enjoyed hanging out with my boyfriend and his friends. I also got to know Michelle Garland during that time and really enjoyed her as a person.
Have you kept in touch with them?
I will always keep in contact with Debbie. She is a great person. She and her twin brother (Mark Long) have always been good friends to me. I think they both are great people. My very busy life with work and my family sometimes keeps a lock on outside relationships.
How is your life different than the life you thought you would have after high school?
I never thought I would still be at my current job.
Who was your favorite teacher?
Mr. Slagle. No Questions! He made learning fun. I often think about him. I do get to play cards with his son and daughter-in-law at a friend’s house every now and again.
What was the biggest life lesson you learned in high school?
To be careful of who you hang out with.
Who was your favorite pop music band in high school?
I was never allowed to listen to music!!!
Why do you want to attend a high school reunion?
I would like to see the people I went to school with again.
Why do you NOT want to attend a high school reunion?
I do want to.
Are you nervous about attending your high school reunion? Explain.
No. I figure everyone has changed just as I have.

What is your favorite food?
I love Mexican food. Tacos are my favorite.
Are your parents still alive? How are they doing?
Sadly, my father passed way in June of 1990 from a car accident. My mother is still alive.
Are you happy with the way you look these days? Please explain.
I could lose some weight.
If you won the lottery what would you do with the money?
I would first make sure my kid have college funds and then I would invest the money to make sure my husband and I have enough retirement money and then I would take care of my brother and sister (buy a house etc.).
Are you religious? Spiritual? Agnostic? Is therB a God?
Yes, God is in my life. Always has been!
What do you watch on TV?
CSI, New Detectives, Court TV, etc…anything with crime.
What are your all-time favorite movies?
Pretty Woman, Dirty Dancing, Annie, Shrek and Old School. I love those movies!
In what ways have you changed the most from high school?
Getting married and having children.
In what ways are you the same from high school?
I still enjoy doing things with friends when life permits.

My husband, my son Sean, and my son Cory.
What do you like most about yourself?
I am a very giving person.
What would you most like to change?
My height. Too dang tall for even the long pants! I would love to be 5’6”
Do you talk on your cellphone while driving?
Sometimes! When people call me!!! I do not like to talk while driving because I am so afraid I’m going to get into a wreck.
Tell us something that very few people know about you.
I hate sea food. Some of it is O.K. Shrimp and crab, forget it!
What would you like to happen at the reunion? What would leave you satisfied? What do you NOT want to happen at the reunion?
I would like to talk to people and see how everyone has matured since high school.
