What was your happiest day last year?
The day my transmission went out on my car. It was Monday morning and I was rushing to get to Long Beach for work, when my transmission started going out. I pulled over on PCH at Point Mugu, between Ventura and Malibu. I was a little distraught to say the least. It was like the end of the world or something. I walked around the Big Rock there and went up to the small wall on the South side overlooking the water and sat down. I said a few words to Him, then all of sudden, directly below me, not 5 foot from the rocks, a baby hump
back whale breach the water and came splashing back down. Then about 20 feet away, what looked like a submarine, the mother floated up to the surface. The baby was about 15 foot long and the mother was about 40 ft. Suddenly my transmission was not so important and I ran to my car and grabbed my snorkel and underwater mask. I ran back and dove into the
freezing water and swam toward these goliaths. About 2/3 of the way there I saw the mother see me and that was enough. I could not swim fast enough to get out of the water...it kind of freaked me out. I treasure this experience more than meeting the previous Pope in Rome (I will bring the pictures)!

The biggest thing I have done to date was meeting the Pope at a private audience at the Vatican in Rome. I will bring the photos to the reunion if any is interested in seeing them. There is a statue in the Vatican that they say is St. Peter and you are supposed to rub his foot. As they say "When in Rome do as the Romans", so I rubbed his foot. Turns out it is actually a statue of the Pagan god Zeus from the Parthenon...What is up with that?
